O, Sister, Where Art Thou?

Hi everyone.

Ch-, ch-, ch- changes!

The Princess & the Peddler has been through many since my last post on this blog.   The gist of it all is that we the are NOT selling needlework patterns at this time.  I may change my mind at some point, but right now, it’s just no longer a good fit for us.  I have gone through a very major spinal surgery, my mother passed away at Christmas from a two year battle with cancer, and there have been some family issues that have taken a mental toll on me. Quite honestly, I was overwhelmed.

As things are getting to what will be my new ‘normal’, I have participated in a several shows, showcasing my goats’ milk soaps, all natural sugar scrubs, blackened beeswax ornaments, hand stamped tags, and some other goodies.  It’s been just enough to fulfill my creative juices, but not overwhelming.  I have been able to get back to doing needlework, knitting, and even quilting, things that I haven’t been able to participate in for quite some time.   I took down my website, and fully intend to bring it back…at some point.  I STILL own the domain name (princessandthepeddler.com) and have no plans to give it up as of now.  I just haven’t figured out exactly how I want to use it.  I think I want to ‘ease’ back into it…one step at a time.  Since all the items I offer for sale at the shows are handmade, I want to be careful not to bite off more than I can chew on the website. I’m hopeful you all bear with me as I navigate the NEW Princess & the Peddler.

Some of you have expressed interest in some of the blackened beeswax ornaments as well as the soaps. The soaps are made with all natural ingredients.  I try to create scents that you don’t find everywhere. They are beautifully packaged and most include dried roses, lavender, cinnamon sticks, and the like. These soaps make great stocking stuffers, Secret Santa gifts, hostess gifts, etc.  Just click on the link below the pictures and you will be taken to my email.  There, just tell my how many of which soaps you are interested in and I will calculate shipping and email you right back.  Once you approve the total cost, I’ll send you an invoice through PayPal. Pay the invoice and your items will be shipped out ASAP.

I will list more soaps but need to get the pictures.  I sold out of many and didn’t take pictures.  Duh!

I am also working on some beautifully scented beeswax candles for the holidays.  I will post them soon, when I have them perfect for you.  A couple of the scents are called ‘Dickens Christmas’ and ‘Christmas Splendor’.  Doesn’t that just want to make you curl up next to a fire, with your hot chocolate, and the fire going?

I’m going to list only a couple of the blackened beeswax ornaments right now and will also add more a little later.

I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve worked on a quilt that I can actually see being finished by Christmas.  LOL.  I found this beautiful (to me) Christmas table topper and had to have the pattern.  I only have one half of a block to finish and then the borders.  My plan is to have it long arm quilted since I KNOW I will never get it hand quilted in time for NEXT Christmas.  I normally am drawn to prim looking fabrics, but these called to me.  The white border will be quilted with a mistletoe and berry design.  I can’t wait for it to be completed.

I think that’s about all for now.  I will be back regularly to update y’all on the happenings at The Princess & the Peddler.

Until then,
