Happy belated New Year! Phew, what a whirlwind couple of months. We have added a beautiful baby girl to our family and another baby is expected relatively soon. We had a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas, followed by a couple weeks in Florida.
I did manage to stitch Christmas presents for my daughter and daughter-in-laws. I am still putting the finishing touches on a dear friend’s Christmas gift. Thankfully, she also is a stitcher and realizes these works of love do not happen quickly but slowly and methodically.
Hey, if you haven’t tried hand dyed Valdani threads on your projects, you should give it a try. These are absolutely beautiful threads and I prefer them over other more traditional embroidery threads. If your local needlework shop does not carry them, they are available on ebay.. Give them a try and let me know if you like them as much as I do. 🙂
In honor of Valentine’s Day, I am including a freebie chart for you all, courtesy of The Primitive Hare. Just copy the link below in your web browser and print off the instructions. Hope you all enjoy it. (FYI, if you do print the chart, you will see there is a statement that reads ‘please do not copy my work’. Please rest assured that this is indeed a free chart, graciously provided by The Primitive Hare.)
